Crises require change. These changes act in form of a disharmony among us. At the core of this disharmony is one of the biggest illusion of our time: “the illusion of separation”. The idea that we are separate from each other and the things around us including mother nature. And at its forefront is fear. Only when we fear we can justify our actions and lack there off. Many social issues will offer our radar simply because they weren´t our personal experience. In that way we are resiting one of the hardest conversations we can have with ourselves. And that is when we address our privileges. But with this privileges come a heightened risk of apathy and complacency which disconnect us from each other And here is why we are stuck. Some of us still wish to remain neutral in these times. We push issues away from ourself by defining them as too big, impossible to solve or not direct concerning us. We resign or ignore instead of truly facing social and ecological issues. In this way, we fail to position ourselves actively. We miss out the collective dialogue. Our ability to really listen to each other is diminishing. Our collective dialogue is broken. We need to contextualize the impact of our actions. As people, as a collective species, if one of us stuck we are all stucking. We need to acknowledge our privileges and get clear about how they shape our realities. We have to understand that we are deeply connected to everything and everyone else on this planet. We must realize that evolution of consciousness is not a passive process but one that requires actively engaging. We have to empower our collective consciousness and to strengthen the collective dialogue. We need to acknowledge our role as a narrative. There is a potential for collectivism to act as catalyst for healing and growth. Thats why we need to tell our stories. And we need to truly listen to the stories around us. Each individual experiences is holding a certain weight which has the power of healing. The act of sharing stories and listening to them liberates us from the illusion of separation. It makes us able to stand in solidarity and helping guide each other going through the healing process. Listen to each other and having real conversations can become uncomfortable. Especially in diff icult times like those of a crisis. But going through the process of telling and listening to each other makes us able to heal our social and ecological traumas and form our collective consciousness.
